Using the Digital Library
Apply for an eCard
After submitting an eCard application, you will receive an email containing your new eCard number and PIN as soon as possible.
An eCard allows you to use the library's online resources, including eBooks, eAudiobooks, online magazines, streaming movies, streaming and downloadable music, educational databases, and other online resources that you can use on personal devices or computers. It's all free with your new eCard!
Please be aware that Freegal, hoopla, the Greater Phoenix Digital Library/Libby, and other digital library applications allow full access to all library card holders, including restricted minors.
An eCard will not permit you to check out physical materials like you can with a library card.
A child must be present to have a card issued in their name. The parent or legal guardian must be physically present when the child receives the card, as they will be financially responsible for any fees that are charged to the child’s account.
Teens (ages 13-17) may get a library card without their parent or legal guardian. They will need to bring a valid form of photo ID. When a teen receives a library card without the parent or guardian present, the library will notify the parent or guardian by mail. If the parent or guardian does not want the teen to have a library card, it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to notify the library.
We offer a wide variety of fun card designs that your child will love.
