Using a Library Computer

Use our public computers to access the internet and a variety of software, including Microsoft Office products.

How can I use a library computer?

Adults need a valid Glendale Public Library card number and PIN to use the library computers. Getting a Glendale Public Library card is fast and free if you live in Maricopa County!

How to Get a Library Card

Teens, ages 12-18, need either a valid Glendale Public Library card number and PIN or a computer pass from the library service desk to use the library computers.

Children, ages 11 and under, may use the computer passes available at the library service desk in the Youth Department.

Computer passes are also available at the library service desk for first-time visitors to the library, but a valid photo ID is required.

Users of our computers must abide by the library’s Acceptable Use of Electronic Information Systems Policy and Internet Use at the Library Policy.

Are there time limits for using a library computer?

Each login session is for four hours. Users can receive up to two additional one-hour extensions if no one is waiting, and potentially use a computer for a total of six hours per day.

All library computers shut down 20 minutes before closing. Please be sure to save your work on cloud storage or a USB flash drive prior to this time. Your work cannot be recovered from a computer after your login session has ended.

What if I don't remember my PIN?

Your PIN/password is the last four digits of the telephone number associated with your account, unless you requested a different four-digit number when you received your library card. Stop by the library service desk at any of our locations and a member of staff can help you reset it.

Can I still use a computer if my library card is blocked because of fees?

If your library card is blocked due to fees, you will not be able to use a library computer. Please speak with a member of staff to discuss your options.
