About the Writer

Amy K. Nichols is the author of the YA science fiction Duplexity series (Now That You’re Here and While You Were Gone), published by Knopf Books for Young Readers. She worked with writers in the Your Novel Year program at the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing, leads writing workshops around the valley, and hosts a curated writing community online. Insatiably curious, she dabbles in everything from art to quantum physics and is thrilled to serve as a Writer in Residence with the Glendale Public Library. Perfecting Your Pitch

“What’s your story about?” The question can strike fear into heart of the writer. When you’re confident in your pitch, you feel compelled to share it. If you’ve written a pitch but aren’t sure if it’s working, or if you’ve never written a pitch at all, you won’t want to miss this workshop. Bring your idea or completed pitch and get ready to hook your readers. Writers of all genres and skill levels are welcome.
